Intelli-tech, specialists in fire systems, is in search of a Project Manager for our Northern California market location.

Overview:
The primary duty of this position to be responsible for overseeing the completion of all assigned contract jobs, from conception through product commissioning, including profit and loss responsibility for assigned work, ensuring profitable growth of the company.

Primary Functions:

Guides the technical aspects of work done in relationship to system installation.

Maintain contract documents throughout the life of the project and ensure changes are addressed and documented.

Communicate with technicians, sales and contractors to track change orders.

Supervise field personnel and subcontractors working on their assigned jobs, making frequent trips to project sites to verify site conditions, insure project milestones are being met to deadlines, and provide technical assistance.

Attend jobsite meetings, construction meetings as needed, and communicate results to team.

Perform site safety walkthroughs, maintain safe working environments.

Perform monthly billing updates for all assigned contract jobs.

Perform final system tests and turnover processes.

Project manpower requirements for scheduling.

Material/equipment ordering and oversight for jobs.

Deliver outstanding customer service, communication, and industry knowledge to our customers.

Ideal Candidates will possess the following:

  • Time management, organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to handle deadlines and negotiate with contractors and customers when needed.
  • Leadership skills, ability to stay focused when something unexpected happens, drives for results.
  • Knowledgeable about the construction industry and products, willing to share knowledge and teach others.
  • Ability to read and analyze building construction documents.
  • Good mathematical skills with the ability to read, and understand financial reports
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak well. Communication skills are very important with this role.
  • Must understand the construction business. Be able to read diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
    Outlook, and the internet to obtain answers to industry related questions.
  • Understanding of fire suppression, special hazards and fire alarm systems.
  • Past history, 5 years + of success as a project manager in the construction market.
  • NICET certification with understanding of NFPA standards and related codes preferred. 

Education and License Requirements:

  • Valid State Drivers license
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED, with a college degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.

The position involves working at Construction Sites:

While on construction job sites you may encounter moderate to heavy noise, uneven ground, subject to all types of weather, may be subject to heights, climbing ladders. Need ability to maneuver in restricted, poorly lit spaces. Need ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Fire Alarm Technician

Intelligent Technologies and Services, the leader in fire protection solutions and services that protect people and assets has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician.

As a Field Service Technician, the qualified individual will provide technical support for end users of Fire Suppression / Fire Alarm Systems. Performs routine technical inspections and diagnoses system problems. Coordinates with the customer and/or engineering department to help resolve problems as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. Preventative maintenance and repairs on the latest technology within the industry of fire suppression (such as Halon, CO2, Inergen, FM-200, etc.), fire alarm systems, early warning air sampling systems (such as Vesda and IFD), water leak detection systems (such as Permalert, Liebert and Trace Tek), hydrogen gas detection systems, and wet/dry pre-action sprinkler systems, foam systems and dialer communication systems.

Deliver and pickup fire suppression tanks, rebuild and recharge FM-200 and Halon 1301 tanks at the office or remotely. Relocate devices and tanks due to remodel and construction jobs.

Perform software programming via laptop on Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Control Panels.

Perform final testing with Fire Department’s on new installs, pre-testing and functional testing of new Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression systems. Provide Leads for service or new construction whenever possible. Assist with As-Built updates whenever possible.

Maintain a professional attitude and deliver outstanding customer service. Fill out expense reports and truck reports. Keep assigned company vehicle clean and driven safely. Provide on the spot Inspection Reports for each piece of equipment serviced, with condition of equipment and any recommendations for repairs required.

Ideal candidates must possess the following in order to perform the functions of the job:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED)
  • Two (2) years of technical Training
  • Solid Verbal communication skills needed to accurately describe problems and communicate with customers

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Associates degree in a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word / Outlook).
