  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls and following up on assigned leads
  • Develop sales strategies based upon specific client needs
  • Read CAD drawings, prepare proposals, make presentations and perform necessary follow-up activities until job is won
  • Maintain established accounts through regular contact while simultaneously locating new customers

We are seeking individuals with

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or engineering preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proven track record meeting an assigned quota
  • Self-starter with the ability to close sales
  • Minimum of three years sales experience in fire suppression, fire alarm or similar industry preferred
  • Service experience in the fire alarm/fire detection industry, with a desire to move into a sales role is acceptable
  • Experience working within the construction industry, calling upon general contractors, electrical contractors, etc. is preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints is a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record


Fire Alarm Technician

Intelligent Technologies and Services, the leader in fire protection solutions and services that protect people and assets has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician.

As a Field Service Technician, the qualified individual will provide technical support for end users of Fire Suppression / Fire Alarm Systems. Performs routine technical inspections and diagnoses system problems. Coordinates with the customer and/or engineering department to help resolve problems as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. Preventative maintenance and repairs on the latest technology within the industry of fire suppression (such as Halon, CO2, Inergen, FM-200, etc.), fire alarm systems, early warning air sampling systems (such as Vesda and IFD), water leak detection systems (such as Permalert, Liebert and Trace Tek), hydrogen gas detection systems, and wet/dry pre-action sprinkler systems, foam systems and dialer communication systems.

Deliver and pickup fire suppression tanks, rebuild and recharge FM-200 and Halon 1301 tanks at the office or remotely. Relocate devices and tanks due to remodel and construction jobs.

Perform software programming via laptop on Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Control Panels.

Perform final testing with Fire Department’s on new installs, pre-testing and functional testing of new Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression systems. Provide Leads for service or new construction whenever possible. Assist with As-Built updates whenever possible.

Opportunity to earn extra income with our rotating on call pay weeks.

Maintain a professional attitude and deliver outstanding customer service. Fill out expense reports and truck reports. Keep assigned company vehicle clean and driven safely. Provide on the spot Inspection Reports for each piece of equipment serviced, with condition of equipment and any recommendations for repairs required.

Ideal candidates must possess the following in order to perform the functions of the job:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED)
  • Two (2) years of technical Training
  • Solid Verbal communication skills needed to accurately describe problems and communicate with customers

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Associates degree in a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word / Outlook).
