What is an ERRCS System?
An ERRCS system is essentially a signal boost in a building with poor Emergency Responder Radio Communication System (ERRCS) connection. These systems are sometimes identified as a BDA (Bi-Directional Amplification) System. The system is installed to improve the communication and safety of first responders who might have to enter the building in case of an emergency. The IFC and NFPA require all new buildings to have the GAT test done to ensure proper radio communication of first responders.
